REGISTRATION 2010

Fall 2009—Planning is currently underway for the 2010 summer baseball season at Hamlin Park, which will include approximately 700 players participating at 6 different levels (ages 5-18) in the Hamlin Park Baseball Association (HPBA) Program.  As in past years, there continues to be tremendous interest in any openings, and we anticipate high demand for all spots than there are slots available. "Waiting lists” will be developed for each division

2010 Registration Information
HPBA anticipates registering the following number of players. Ages represent the player's age as of August 1, 2010. All numbers are estimates, and do not include additional “wait-list” players:

Fund Raising—Each family is required to participate in the HPBA “Parent Grand Slam Raffle” fundraiser. Each family is required to sell/purchase $50 worth of raffle tickets no matter how many kids you have in the program. The cash prizes are awarded in June.

Returning Players—HPBA will provide "on-line" registration for 2010 as well as traditional mail-in registration (subject to a nominal fee of $10).  The time frame for this process (all dates subject to change) will be as follows.

REGISTRATION CALENDAR 2010

Returning Players
January 4th, 2010 (
Monday)Returning Player Notification Opens

Notification emails will be sent to all participants from the 2009 season of online registration.  The email addresses used will be the email address that was provided by each player on their 2009 Registration form.  Information regarding online registration will also be available and posted on the HPBA website on this day, including the ability to download all Registration forms.  Available slots will be allocated on a first come/first serve basis.

Online registration offers the option of maioling in a check or money order payment via mailing to the HPBA PO Box.
Any manually filled out forms (including payment) can also be mailed to the PO Box.  All mail in processing will be subject to a nominal $10 processing fee.

A player’s registration (including online) is not complete until FULL PAYMENT HAS BEEN RECEIVED.

All available spots will be allocated on a first come/first serve basis.

January 7thth, 2010 (Thursday, 6:00 PM-7:00 PM)—For anyone not having computer access, a limited number of printed registration forms will be available to be picked up at Hamlin Park.  No registration forms will be mailed to any returning or new players this year.

February 2, 2010 5pm (Tuesday)— Returning Player Registration Closes.

Deadline for registration (either online or via manual form mail-in to the PO Box) for all 2008 returning players.  If via mail-in, documents and payment must be received by this date, not postmarked by this date.  If registration occurred online, with payment via check, payment must also have been received by this date, not postmarked by this date.  Any documents or payments received either after this date, or incomplete, will be returned and those families will be required to go through the “in person” open registration.

"In Person" Open Registration

February 13th, 2010 (Saturday)—Open Registration at Hamlin Park (9:00 AM-2:00 PM) for Rookie, Pee Wee, Bantam, and Midget divisions.   The specific procedures for this registration have not been finally determined, however, it will be on a first come/first served basis for the limited number of spots available in each divisions.  Most likely, a “number” will be distributed and then a registrant will have the ability to register online, or register manually (inclusive of the $10 incremental fee) within a short timeframe or risk losing their spot in the program.

February 15th, 2010 (Monday)--Open Registration at Hamlin Park (6:00 PM-7:30 PM) for Liberty and Senior Divisions.

February 20th, 2010 (Saturday)--Open Registration at Hamlin Park (9:00 am-12:00 PM) for all divisions for any remaining spots.
