History:

The first individual girls to play golf were Donna Montgomery and Lisa Smith coached by Tom Traylor. They participated during the 1980 boys season. Records show that each played two 9-hole matches. Donna recorded 74-76, and Lisa recorded 98-89. There are no records of other girls playing until Jenny Dunn played on the boys team during the spring of her freshman year (1992); earning SAC All-Conference honors. She played her final three seasons as an individual during the fall girls golf seasons; coached by her dad - Kenny Dunn. Once again, there are no records of girls playing until Henryville high school fielded it's first team on 8/25/2002 coached by Robin Embry.

The first match for Henryville high school was held at Westwood golf course in Scottsburg, IN. The girls shot a 234, finishing third in a triangular match with Scottsbug high school (208) and Brownstown Central high school (205). The first home match for Henryville high school was on 8/27/2002 at the Turning Point golf course in Sellersburg, IN. The girls won a dual match with Christian Academy of Indiana high school shooting a 244.

On 9/17/2005, Henryville entered it's first girls golf team into the state tournament. Henryville finished 11th of 18 teams at the Seymour sectional played at the Seymour Elks golf course. Members of that team were: Carrie Lewellen (Sr), Amanda Cleveland (Jr), Tosha Embry (So), Ericka Runyon (Fr), and Katie Spellman (Fr).

Tosha Embry (2004-2007): Regional participant (2007), ICGSA Academic All-State Team (2007), Indiana East/West Class All-Star (2008)

Jenny Dunn (1992-1994): Sectional Medalist (1994), Regional participant (1992, 1993, 1994), State Finals participant (1994)
