D3 Parents and Players,
On behalf of the D3 Coaching Staff and the Highland Falls/West Point Youth Football League, Thank you very much for a tremendous season. I have coached youth football for about 6 seasons now, and this season has been the most rewarding and exciting year I have had. The playoff win in Michie Stadium was one of the very best sporting events I have ever been a part of. Thank you all for sharing the season with us.
Winning was a very low priority for me this year. At the begging of the season I promised to focus on safety, teamwork, and a lot of playing time for each child. I believe the coaching staff delivered on these promises and everyone enjoyed being a part of the team. I know I did! Additionally, we were blessed with the domination the team achieved at the end of the season by working together, playing fundamentally sound, disciplined football, and showing the determination to be winners with a 6-4 record and a playoff win. You should all be proud of your boys...and girl!
Our family will be moving back to Hawaii and the 25th Infantry Division in January, and preparing for a deployment to Iraq in June. I will be handing off the game ball at the banquet for you to push into the end zone again next year! Go Jr. Black Knights!
