2013 Season Updates

Head Coach - Manuel Rogers

Please check the contact information section for Coach Rogers’ Contact details.

Coach Rogers’ Bio is below:

Coach Rogers began his coaching career with Jr. Cougars in 2012, as the head coach for the 4th Grade Team.  Prior to that, he coached football for over four years, as a head coach for the feeder program and as an assistant coach for the middle school program in Beavercreek, OH.  During his time with his previous feeder program, Coach Rogers also volunteered as a board member in the position of coaches’ representative and represented the club as league representative.  In this position Coach Rogers helped his club by attaining a clinician certification through National Alliance for Youth Sports a required coaches training course for all coaches in that league. Coach Rogers took a break from coaching football due to military service, but continued to stay close to the sport working as a game official from the youth, middle school, and high school level.

After serving 21 years in the Marine Corps, Coach Rogers retired in March, 2012 and considers Johns Creek to be his permanent home.  He lives in Johns Creek with his wife and four children – three of whom attend Chattahoochee High School.  His older children have been affiliated with Chattahoochee Jr. Cougar Football and Cheer since 2007, when his wife and children first moved to the area

Coach Rogers has been many sides of the football; as an athlete, coach, administrator, game official and continues to learn the game through local clinics, and online training.  In looking at the upcoming 2013 season, Coach Rogers is excited to get involved with the 6th Grade Team, so he can get to know (and grow) with these young men between now and their transition to the high school program in a few years.  For Coach Rogers, nothing is more important than the concept of the “team”, versus the individual, and he looks forward to sharing those thoughts and ideas with his players.

The Jr. Cougar Program is eager to see Coach Rogers in action with this fantastic group of Chattahoochee Jr. Cougar Football Players!
