THE ENFORCERS
|
SMBL Rules 1. Each team will consist of A and B squad. The A squads are a team's strongest players. The Blue squad is the team's weaker players. A squad players will start games on odd weeks and B will start on even. A and B squads will be rotated into the game at approximately the 4 minute point of each quarter. This point will be determined by the official's. Dependent upon how many players are available on a team on a given game day will determine whether A players are allowed to play at the B level. All available coaches should discuss this circumstance prior to the start of the game. The goal of this approach is to give equal playing time to all players and to allow them to play against opponents of similar skill levels.
2. Game will consist of four 8 minute, stop clock quarters. Overtime periods will be 3 minutes. A limit of one overtime will be permitted for regular season games. Post-season games will utilize as many overtimes as required to determine a winner
3. Each team will be permitted four time outs per game. One additional time out will be awarded to each time for each overtime period. Time outs will be 30 seconds long.
4. There will be a one-minute break between quarters with the exception of half time, which will be three minutes.
5. A full court press will be allowed in the last one minute of the 4th quarter or any overtime period by the trailing team or a leading team that is not ahead by 10 or more points. This is to prevent a team leading by one or two points with less than 10 seconds left in the game from stifling commmpetion by dribbling out the clock from behind the half court line.
6. All coaches should be in the gym from 8:15 to 11:45 AM for officiation, scoring, timing and decision making items.
7. Children that are not participating in the K-1-2 program that runs from 12-2:00 PM shall be picked up by 11:45 unless specific prior arrangements have been made by their parents with their coach. The coach of the K-1-2 program will not be responsible for children not participating in the K-1-2 program.
8. Children in the gym after 11:45 AM will sit quietly in the bleachers. It is at the K-1-2 discretion to direct that a disruptive individual to exit the gymnasium.

Swearing - player will be benched for the remainder of that game. b. Fightin - player will be benched for the remainder of that game and the next game that the attend.
