Martha Richard
Coach Martha Richard moved to Plano in the late 80’s from Southern California. This is where she had her first experience with fastpitch softball. Upon moving to Texas, Coach Richard started to play competitively in the few Metroplex tournaments they had. She attended Shepton High School and then Plano Senior High School, where she played on the inaugural Plano Wildcat Softball Team in 1994. As a Wildcat, Coach Richard was the first pitcher to win a game and pitch a no hitter. She attended Baylor University and TWU, graduating from TWU in 1999.
Upon graduation, Coach Richard started coaching and teaching at R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton. While at R.L. Turner, she became Head Coach in 2002 and continued to coach Freshmen Volleyball. The Lady Lions' wins doubled every year during the last four years, finishing 2nd place in District during the 2005 and 2006 seasons. The Lady Lions were also Bi-District Champs in 2005 and 2006.
Coach Richard recently moved to McKinney with her husband, Chuck and two children Rebecca and Luke. She joined the Frisco Independent School District in 2006 to become a Liberty Redhawk.

Rebekah Cate
Rebekah was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX. She played softball at Cisco Junior College and then graduated from Texas Tech University in May 2006. She taught in Westbrook for her first two years before moving to Frisco. She lives in McKinney with her dog Audie.

Matt Smith
Coach Smith is the Junior Varsity Softball Coach at Liberty High School in Frisco, TX. He graduated from Denison High school in the year 2000.
He played football at Hardin-Simmons University. where he graduated in 2005.
Coach Smith is in his 4th year coaching. His high school coaching experience includes football, track, powerlifting, cross country and softball.
He is married to Rebekah, who coaches girls soccer at Liberty High school. They reside in Mckinney, TX and have no children.

Mary North
Coach Mary North is in her first year of teaching and coaching in Frisco ISD. She is Assistant Softball and JV Basketball here at Liberty High School. Prior to Liberty, she taught and coached for 4 years in Plano ISD at Frankford Middle School, Shepton High School and Plano West Senior High School. Before going to Plano ISD, she was Head Cross Country Coach and Assistant Basketball Coach for 2 years at Greenville High School. Coach North received an Associate Degree from Grayson College in Denison Texas (1998) and then went on to get her B.S. (2000) and a M.S (2002) in Kinesiology and Health at Texas A&M University-Commerce in Commerce,Texas. She played basketball for Coach Bill Brock (Texas Tech University) at GCC for 2 years. Then, went on to finish her basketball collegiate career at A&M-Commerce under Coach Charles Mancil. After she graduated she stayed on as the Graduate Assistant Coach for 2 more years. She married Micah North in 2006 and they returned to her hometown (Little Elm) to live that same year. They are expecting their first baby (a girl) this November.
