CONGRATULATIONS B TEAM PLAYERS ON THEIR DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP!!

Hello parents:

We were very proud of the way the Varsity finished up their season by dominating Revere and winning the Division title. They have really worked hard this whole season and earned this accomplishment. The entire team played well Saturday and we had several boys fill in for Mason Nist and they all did a great job. I know I have said this a lot but they truly are a team and have formed a special bond together. It's great to watch this happen and is the foundation of their success.

I was glad to see the JV team get in on the Varsity action and they performed great not even allowing a first down. That defensive effort carried over to their JV game and I thought the defense played a very good game. Offensively we continue to struggle. We have a hard time maintaining a drive and getting the consistent effort blocking that is needed. Although you see signs of it with a couple short drives we need to put it together for longer periods. I have been very encouraged the last couple weeks with the JV team's effort on Saturday and see many positives even if the end result of a win hasn't shown up. The extra practice and game they will get this week will be helpful for next year. They continue to be very helpful preparing the Varsity each week in practice with a good effort simulating the other team's offense and defense.

We will play Springfield at noon this Saturday at Lockhart Field. I am glad we get to play at home and not travel to a neutral site. It should be quite a game although it would be really tough to top the first game we had with them! We will practice Monday through Thursday as usual, beginning practice at 5:45. We will get pizza again for the team (probably Wednesday) since they put together another shutout. I will let you know the pancake breakfast details soon now that I know where we play. Please let Kristi Wenhold know if your son will be attending,

Thanks and GO PANTHERS!!!
