Questions regarding umpire training, scheduling or fees should be directed to the MKA Umpire Coordinator.
Ejections:Any player, coach or fan ejection
must be reported within 24 hours of the game incident. The team Manager must send an email to their Mason Supervisor (see the Questions/Protests page for Mason Supervisor contact information) with the MKA Umpire Coordinator on copy. Failure to report any ejection on your team in a timely manner may result in additional suspension or loss of umpire deposit.
2009 Umpire Training:
Umpire training will be held Saturday, March 28th from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the St. Susanna gym. This training is mandatory for all umpires that are not OHSAA certified or are under 18 years of age. All interested kid / adult umpires and coaches are welcome. You must be at least 14 years old to participate as an MKA umpire (unless approved by the Umpire Supervisor).
2009 Umpire Fees:
Division I
Visitor and Home Teams Split Fee
A - $80 (Home Plate $45 Field $35) - $70 Single Umpire
B & C - $70 (Home Plate $40 Field $30) - $60 Single Umpire
Division II
Home Team Pays Full Fee
A - $80 (Home Plate $45 Field $35) - $70 Single Umpire
B - $70 (Home Plate $40 Field $30) - $60 Single Umpire
C - $65 (Home Plate $35 Field $30) - $55 Single Umpire
D - $60 (Home Plate $35 Field $25) - $50 Single Umpire
AA
Visitor and Home Teams Split Fee
$100 (Home Plate $50 Field $50) - $90 Single Umpire
- MKA strives to have at least one older teen or above on C & D games and an adult on B games and higher. Please respect your umpires, home and away, and teach your players, parents and coaches to respect their calls and their control of a game.
