About the Pitching Motion
November 9, 2006 --
Here is a basic fact about pitching. YOUR PITCHING MOTION GIVES YOU ACCURACY AND YOUR STRENGTH GIVES YOU VELOCITY. What does this mean? It means that while you work on strength to improve your throwing velocity, you must practice your motion too. A motion is smooth and efficient. I recommend doing 25 to 50 motions three times a week. Work on your balance points and follow through until it is second nature. You do not have to practice pitching live to become a better pitcher. Any questions send me an e-mail at splitterweb@msn.com so what are you waiting for, start training!!

Work on that Leg Kick
The leg kick is a vital part of your pitching motion. A strong kick adds velocity and pitching stability. Strengthen your legs by sprinting, running stairs, squats.
|
Follow Through
To help with your follow through try touching the ground at the end of your motion. The follow through completes the throwing portion of your motion. So what comes next? You got it, become a fielder!!!
