Flag Football guidelines
North Suburban Youth Football League
Flag Football Division

The Flag Football Division was introduced to the league in 2004.  After a much anticipated introduction into the league, the Flag Division was a huge success for both the league and the individual teams who were able to field flag teams.

Here are some important facts about the Flag Football Division:
1) The Flag Division is open to players in 1st and 2nd Grades.

2) Age Restrictions:
All players in the Division must be enrolled in school as a 2nd grader or below.

3) Weight Restrictions:
NO WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS.

4) The Flag Division plays with a Wilson K2 leather ball.

5) Maximum number of players for a team in the Flag Division is 14.

6) Games:
Each team will have approximately 8 games.  Games are held on Saturdays either before or after our tackle football games.  You will usually play before the 3rd & 4th Grade team within your organization.  All players dress and participate in the games.  This insures plenty of playing time for all players as our Flag Division is about getting players ready for tackle football and is not as competitive as our tackle football divisions.

All teams’ practices and games are played in the Northland in Clay, Platte or Leavenworth Counties.  Each team does have their own "HOME FIELD".
