Fun at the WORLD SERIES
Steve, Hanna and I arrived in Williamsport, Pa on Friday, the 28th. It was beautiful there, pictures don't describe the LL Complex set with the backdrop of the green mountains. It rained most of the day, but we didn't let that dampen our spirit. It was my first time to experience this event, and oh so much sweeter knowing our very own Jeff Stokoe would be on the field. Saturday, the games were delayed by more rain but after they got underway it was very exciting. The dedicated fans were fun to watch and especially DUGOUT getting the whole park doing the wave! I can't wait to go back next year. Congrats from Ohio D8 to Chula Vista LL on their World Series Championship!

Fun at Central Region
On Saturday, August 8, my family and I made the trip over following Jeff Stokoe and his wife Barb to Indy to check out the Central Region LL Tournament. It was very exciting to watch some incredibly talented baseball teams vie for their shot at Williamsport.

I was really suprised to see some friendly faces from Ohio District 8. Eaton LL President Russ Kelley and his son made the trip, as well as coaches; Doug Mangen and Brian Pelfrey from Hardscrabble Little League. Moraine West Carrollton Umpire in Chief, John Bowman and his wife Stacie, made the trek along with MWCLL coach Doug Perrin and his family.
The food was great, especially the funnel cakes. My daughter caught the "pin trading" bug, and I got to meet Mike Legge, Regional Director and Nina Johnson, Assistant Regional Director, it was nice to finally meet face to face with those who have helped navigate my new position.

I also was able to pay tribute and see the Champions Walk. A beautifully landscaped and peaceful walk with the state flags of the region and the American Flag. Below the Ohio flag is the Memorial Brick purchased for our former District Administrator Mike Hackett.
