Biondo Helps Eagles Advance to Loser's Bracket Finals

Highlights: Hauppauge 4, Rocky Point 3: Chris Dutton, down 0-2 in the count, drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh that scored Tyler Scanlon to win it for second-seeded Hauppauge (22-4) in a Suffolk Class A losers bracket semifinal. Angelo Biondo had a run-scoring single, scoring Robby Scheim to tie at the 3 in the bottom of the sixth. Matt Reistetter went 3-for-4 with a run and Derek Labarbera pitched three scoreless innings of relief for the win. Hauppauge will host fifth-seeded Islip in the losers bracket final today at 4 p.m. Winning pitcher:

Policastro Leads the Way for the Eagles in Playoffs

Highlights: Hauppauge 9, Rocky Point 7: Joe Policastro (3-for-4) hit a bases-loaded one-out single to drive in two runs in the bottom of the sixth and stake No. 2 Hauppauge (20-3) to a 9-7 lead over No. 7 Rocky Point in the second round of the the Suffolk Class A playoffs. Chris Dutton was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Hauppauge is set to face the winner of No. 6 Sayville at No. 3. Miller Place at 4 p.m. on Thursday.Winning pitcher:

Biondo and Budzitkowski (3rd Straight Game) Goes Deep in Eagles' Loss

Highlights: Sayville 6, Hauppauge 5: T.J. Slevin hit a walkoff homer in the bottom of the eighth inning for Sayville (4-5) in League V. Eddey Cooley's single to score Keith Hilton (2-for-3) tied it at 5 in the bottom of the seventh. Mike Rahn went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Nick Mancuso pitched a scoreless eighth to get the win.

Kyle Olsen allowed one earned run in five innings with five strikeouts to get his first varsity win.
