    Amendments

The following lists the amendments that were voted on by all captains at the captains meeting.

SPECIAL RULES specific to Pride Softball League 2007:

ALL USSSA Rules Apply, in addition to the following amendments:

Ghost Substitution. All teams will be allowed ONE Ghost substitution. This position can be filled by any person as long as they are NOT on another roster in the Pride Softball League. This position can be used only to fill 8th, 9th, or 10th player on a team. The Ghost Sub must be verified by the Score Keeper as a non-rostered player.

Safety bag (run thru bag) at First Base, and Home Plate with a Commitment Line and safety home plate(USSSA alternative rule).

The committment line which runs between third base and home, if passed, the runner is forced to advance to the safety home plate. If the defense is able to secure the ball and touch home plate before the runner touches the safety home plate, the runner is out. This makes this scenario a force out situation. The defense is not permitted to tag the runner in this situation.

You can play more females, but cannot play more males than females unless you take an automatic out.

A team may play with only 8 players so long as there are equal numbers of males and females, or more females than males, with one auto out. More males than females results in a forfeit game.

A team may play with only 9 players without a penalty out, so long as there are more females than males. If there are more males than females you take one auto out. More than 5 males with only 9 players results in a forfeit game.
