Volunteers
PSWLL is a volunteer organization which relies on the generous support of each participating family to run efficiently & smoothly. Each family has TWO volunteer responsibilities: one to the League & one to your child's team. Responsibilites are as follows:
LEAGUE RESPONSIBILITES
1. Sign up to help with opening or closing day; picture day; registration; tryouts; division photographer; yearbook; field maintenance; fundraising, etc. More information available at live registration and/or from the volunteer coordinator.
2. Sign ups will be available at on line & live registration.
3. If you choose not to volunteer the buyout fee is $100 payable to "PSWLL". This fee may be included with registration fees.
4. Donations to the league of $500 or more will absolve you of the league volunteer responsibility - contact the fundraising coordinator.
TEAM RESPONSIBILITES
1. Provide a team snack 1 -2 times during the season; snack packages from the Allendale Snack Shack will be available for teams who play at Stan Gray Field.
2. Work 1 - 2 shifts at the Allendale Snack Bar (minor & major baseball & softball teams only).
3. Help team as needed: field set-up; field & dug out clean up; help warm up players; scorekeeping; pitch counter; etc.
4. These responsibilites are NOT part of the volunteer fee & there is not a "buy out" option.

2009 Season Volunteer Form
All managers/coaches and any adults that will have direct contact with the children MUST fill out a volunteer form. Even if you filled one out last year or in years past- you must complete a new one for the 2009 season.
Please give complete form & copy of identification to PSWLL Safety Officer by 2/15/09.

Volunteer Opportunities
OPENING DAY
committee organizes opening day activities including food, music(PA system), balloons, bunting, schedule of events, photo day, etc.
TRYOUTS/LATE REGISTRATION
volunteeers assist coaches with baseball or softball tryouts, checking in players, registering late players, organizing groups for tryouts, etc.
FIELD MAINTENANCE
committee works on various PSWLL fields to prepare them for games, dragging, hosing down, chalking, placing bases, etc. Makes sure playing & surrounding areas are clean & safe. Cleans up after games, puts away bases, equipment, etc.
YEARBOOK/PHOTOGRAPHERS
committee creates end of season "yearbook" including photographs from division photographers (1-2 per division); photos to website
FUNDRAISING
committee works with Fundraising Coordinator to illicit funds from PSWLL members, community, local businesses, etc.
CLOSING DAY
committee organizes closing day activities inlcuding schedule of events, food, yearbook distribution, collections of uniforms & equipment, etc.
SNACK SHACK
committee helps snack shack run smoothly, efficiently through volunteer sign ups, inventory control, etc.
