    04/01/07 vs. Victorville Dodgers (game 1 of dh)
    Eddie only needed 83 pitches in a complete game shutout ,striking out 11 and walked none.
    Eddie also contributed with the bat going 2/3 with 2 doubles(one hr called back!).
    I'm sure the dodgers dont want to see him again!

    4/01/07 vs. Victorville Dodgers(game 2 of dh)
    Mike threw 5 strong innings in his '07 debut, handcuffing the dodgers on many occasions & getting stronger as the game progressed.
    Mike also added 3 hits on the day.
    His biggest was a 2 RBI double in the 6th to give his team the lead.

    John JT Taylor had 2 key hits driving in 3 runs in a rainy victory over the Yucaipa Indians. To add to his outstanding batting,he caught 9 tough and defensively sound innings in the inclement weather.

    Frank Bellino put on a hitting clinic vs. the Desert Dbacks 4/29/07
    In a 5/5 day Frank hit for the cyle & added 1 hr on top of it!
    His 2 hr's were legendary shots that SHOOK everyone in the area.
    Frank's total's from both rbi & runs= 12...
    This was 70% of the Senator runs on the day!

    08/27/06 Pitchers duel to the end
    The Senators played perhaps there most inspirational pitching and defensive performance of the year against the 3rd place Orangemen

    On the opposite end of the spectrum the Senators
    The Senators blew several scoring opportunities
    ... loading the bases twice and scoring none


    08/20/06 Dbacks too much for Senators
    Several Rallies were cut short by poor baserunning.The Senators were also supceptable to the HR(2) once again.

    08/13/06 Indians last inning rally too much to overcome
    The Senators came to play in the 100+ heat!

    In a see-saw battle the Indians put 7 runs on the board in their final at bat flattening the hopes for the Senators.
    Behind a strong pitching and hitting performance by All Star John Taylor the Senators traded leads with the Indians on multiple occasions

    In a 4 hour battle the Riverside Senators came up just short of a victory.
    The game featured 3 homeruns, 2 of which by Senators Frank Bellino & Todd Arnold.
    Mike Overton contributed 3 innings of shut-down pitching.

    "We threw the kitchen sink at them, we played decent defense but offensively we stranded too many men" Mgr. Jim Green said

    06/11/06 Team gains momentum from loss
    The Senators stood strong against the 7-1 Vandals
    in a swirling 30 MPH wind
    "Good defense and scrappy hitting made the game closer than the score reads, this was an awakening game for our squad- the past 2 losses have proved if we get the ball to drop we will start rollin- its a fact!" Jim Green says

    06/04/06 Bats come alive! Defense faulters
    Senators finally got some rallies and had men on base every inning. But couldn't make the big plays in the field to finish the job.

    "The big inning killed us again!" said manager Jim Green
    "We hung tough with the 1st place team but just couldnt finish it off"
    "We out hit them but walks and errors killed us!"

    The Senators typically sure handed defense wasnt present in the desert this Sunday.

    "Offensively the ball just didnt drop for us today when we needed it" says Jim Green, Manager
    "The kiss of death in this league is the big inning from the opposing team,EVERY team is capable of it happening to them or doing it- weve just got to eliminate it" Green says

    ~On a positive note the team is excited about a new addition of Frank Bellino who proved highly versitile in the field and was unstoppable at the plate~

    After coming back from an six run deficit, then got taken in the final innings and couldn't rebound.

    The Senators came out of the box fast with 3 innings of quick scoring and had several spectacular defensive gems not to mention 2 double plays.
    On the offensive side the Senators matched the Indians with 11 hits.
