Welcome To Riverside Youth Soccer
On behalf of Riverside Youth Soccer Club, I'd like to welcome you to our website. Whether you're a 'rookie' soccer parent or seasoned veteran, I want you to feel at home with our club and encourage you to get involved in both soccer and our club. I assure you that if you invest the time and energy, you'll receive a generous return on your investment.
We have an exciting, growing club and I anticipate that we will continue to grow as soccer in WV grows. One of our club mottos is 'building character through sports'. I'm a firm believer that team sports are invaluable in teaching kids 'life lessons' in addition to the sport. At Riverside Youth Soccer Club, the players learn about soccer, but also learn about teamwork, sportsmanship, respect of authority and opponents, attitude and competition and fairness, while having fun. These are character traits that will benefit your children their entire lives. Learning how to win and lose are invaluable lessons to learn. It's not nearly as important how well a kid plays as it is THAT he/she plays. While we want to develop good soccer players, we're more concerned about building quality, productive citizens.
We expect all members of Riverside Youth Soccer Club (parents, players, coaches, and staff) to be respectful of teammates, opponents, and those in positions of authority. I make a personal commitment to each of you that your children will be treated with dignity and respect. They will understand that they are valuable and important.
