The Smyrna Youth Football & Cheerleading, Inc. (SYFC), a non-profit, tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization offering the children of our community an opportunity to participate in youth sports. Our goal is to promote the involvement of children in a program that teaches teamwork, sportsmanship, good conduct and healthy morals. Our annual registration averages over two hundred and fifty boys and girls. Naturally, we attempt to keep our registration fees to a minimum so that we can provide our activities with a minimum financial burden to the family. Our registration includes the cost of insurance, competition uniforms, grounds upkeep, referees, equipment, and awards. We provide our participants a chance to experience world-class competition, sportsmanship, sharing and the opportunity to develop friendships.
As is true in most situations today, inflation is taking its toll on our organization in the form of higher insurance rates, higher prices for uniforms and equipment, and higher fees for referees. To ensure the safety of our participants, protective equipment such as shoulder pads and helmets must be replaced on a regular basis. We must generate significant contributions from the community in order to provide such an amazing experience for our participants. All of our Directors, Coaches and other Program Personnel are volunteers who receive no compensation other than the satisfaction that they are doing something good for our community. Because of the higher costs of operating this program, and because we try to maintain our registration fees to an affordable amount, SYFC rely on the generous support of caring community partners, like you!
