We started a bit slowly, but you all stepped up and took care of business. Team Texas 18, Patriots 6. The team stats should be posted shortly. COME BACK AND CHECK THEM OUT!
Practice days for this week are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 until 8:00. I KNOW YOU ALL ENJOYED THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL.........WELL YOUR PARENTS DID ANYWAY!

2A FOOTBALL 2009
Parents,
Welcome to the 2009 Team Texas Bulldog football season. I look forward to working with your children and you. While my assistants and I will help each player improve his skill set, I believe that your child will perform at his highest level only if he has your support and approval. I would like to mention a few things that will help the season go smoothly.
The first is our fund-raiser. The fund-raiser that you are asked to participate in each year is what allows us to buy new equipment and to replace outdated equipment. I would request that each of you put forth a wholehearted effort to help the 2A team players do their part to support the Team Texas Bulldog & Bullette organization.
We, the 2A coaches, enjoy working with your children and we do not mind speaking with you about any concerns that you might have regarding our team or your child’s participation. All that we require is to be treated with respect and that nothing be done that will undermine our efforts in making each child a part of this team.
Since your children are 9 and 10 years old, I would like to have at least one guardian at practice with them, and I would suggest that you join us for our after practice talks. I will be telling your children of upcoming events in our after practice talks. Every parent should also hear this information so please gather with us at the end of practice.
We understand that many of you have other children on other teams, and that their practice ends at 8 P.M. Please make every attempt to pick your child up on time.
Each child will need to bring enough water to last the entire practice in a “non-breakable” container.
If your child is going to miss a practice session or game, or if he will be late; please inform me of this or call and leave a message on my recorder. My phone number is 972 289-3108.
Practice begins Monday, July 13. Only helmets, t-shirts, shorts, shoes and mouth pieces are required for the first week of practice. We have practice Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. We practice even if it rains. Mouth pieces are required. Starting July 20, we practice in full gear.
The Bulldog Football and Drill Association, Inc. only accepts payment in the form of cash, money orders or cashiers checks. Be sure to get and keep your receipt.

My Coaching Philosophy
Football at the youth level is a game. It is a game that can and should be used to teach life lessons, but it is still just a game. As a game, it is my intention that each player has an enjoyable experience. I want our players to work hard and learn the benefits of hard work. Although I sometimes use the term "luck", I do not believe in luck. I believe "the harder we work the luckier we get". When all is said and done and your children look back on their years playing for me I would like their fondest memory of me not to be the number of games we won together, but my examples of character, honesty and integrity.
