NOW COMES THE TIME...
Now comes the time when the tough have to get even tougher.
Now comes the time when there really is no "I" in TEAM.
Now comes the time when we really are only as strong as our weakest member.
Now comes the time when effort becomes determination; practice becomes performance.
Now comes the time when we just go for it, just do it, just suck it up and win.
Now comes the time when we forget our back hurts, our head hurts, our stomach hurts, our ankle hurts, we had a bad day, we're sore, we're tired, we're frustrated, we're stressed.
Now there are no more tears because a team needs you to be focused.
Now there is no me, just me inside the team.
Now I try my hardest, strive for my best,
Now we realize that this is the test.
What will separate us and make us rise above
is that you will remember I am not one, I am part of a team.
Now I will consider that 40 points of our score is my face, my expression, my jumps, my extra, my more.
Now I'll try even harder, push myself to the limit...
Now I'll dig down deep because it's victory I seek.
Now I'll see the big picture, 2 and a half minutes not a second more and Now I'll do my very best to give US the perfect score!

CHEERLEADING...
Cheerleading is a way of life, shared by a chosen few,
It is working as a unit in everything you do.
Cheerleading is a rivalry, the competition makes you strong,
It is sharing secrets and tears, learning to get along.
Cheerleading is that ongoing drive to be the very best,
It is patience, perseverance, and very little rest.
Cheerleading is having poise and charm with every word you say,
It is total dedication twenty-four hours a day.
It is always being ready with encouragement and a smile,
Cheerleading is your chance to express your individual style.
Cheerleading is reaching out to comfort a sister who is sad,
It is defending each other in good times and the bad.
Cheerleading is a talent to be able to shine on cue,
It is hiding the pain and anguish that if only half the people knew.
Cheerleaders, after all, are real people that sometimes get down,
but when they're in the spotlight, they must never put on a frown.
Cheerleaders are actresses always ready to go,
That is why it's important for all the world to know.
Not every girl can be a cheerleader, it takes a special kind,
Cheerleaders are full of life and a little bit out of their mind.
THE COMPETITION...
The competition lasts but moments
Though the training's taken years
It wasn't the winning alone
That was worth the work and tears
The applause will be forgotten
The prize will be misplaced
But the long hard hours of practice
Will never be a waste
For in trying to win you build a skill
You learn that winning depends on will
You never grow by how much you win
You only grow by how much you put in
So any challenge you've just begun
Put forth your best effort
And you've already won
A TEAM OF ONE...
A Team of One
We are the team
a team of one!!
We work together, we are ONE
We compete together as ONE
We win and lose together as ONE
We're only strong
If we stick together
We're a powerful team
If we believe in one another
We can only achieve our goals
If we work hard together as ONE
We're not just a cheer team
We're friends to one another
When one of us is hurt, or down
We pick each other up, no frown!
When we step out on that floor today
Let's show our best and unity to the crowd
Because not everyone can be like us
One for all and all for all, Cheer proud!!! Cheer loud!! Stick It!!!
MY FIRST COMPETITION...
As we spirited on to the stage, we heard the crowd cheer
Our hearts were pounding with excitement and fear,
The first stunt went up and the tumbling came about,
All was tuned out, every whistle, every shout,
We ran to the first pyramid...Oh yes we stuck!
Then we ran to our dance, where we had the best of our luck,
Next came more stunting and then came our cheer,
Gosh we've done so good this year!
Now to the scorpions, we've got this down,
We are definitely the best cheerleading squad in town!
But as we enter our last stunt, the flyer I'm stunting falls...
But we push her back up as we stand proud and tall!
It was so humiliating I thought we would loose for sure,
But our Sense of confidence had been so pure,
Our competitors laughed and said only they would win
What sore sports they had been!
At the time of announcing we gave each other embrace...
And Then we found out that we had won FIRST place!!!
TITLE UNKNOWN...
Walking out onto the empty gymnasium floor
Quickly you step in and get into you appointed place.
Standing there, you paste a smile upon your face,
Months of practice, all to achieve the best score.
You hear the soft hiss of the tape.
It's only a matter of seconds now,
Before the first stunt goes up, oh wow!
This is it! There is now no escape.
When the music comes on, you hear the first sound
You set up for the opening, you can't be late.
Counting in your head; 5, 6, 7, 8
As it goes up, you pray it will not hit the ground.
After that, your mind goes on automatic; no time to think
You do everything you can to impress,
‘Cause you know that you are better than the rest.
When it's over, you all join together; arms firmly linked.
DON'T FORGET THE GOOD TIMES...
We had so many good time's together, I hope that we will all remember them forever. We cheered for our boys and to the crowd, Our varsity boys made us all so proud. When we all cheered together we had so much fun, We became a great team we became one. We had a great team that was so strong, We loved each other and all got a long. We always had a great style, and always through on a smile. We practiced each and everyday, So our skills wouldn't go away. We knew our team would succeed, As we would cheer and lead. Now it is the end of the year, And the beginning of each tear. We always cheered what we would feel... That's how we know that cheerleading is real.. Now don't forget the good time's together, Remember then forever.
