The participant fees for the 2009 season are:

Registration forms can be downloaded from this Web site - look under HANDOUTS. Forms can be mailed to South Johnston Pop Warner at 611 Gum Swamp Rd, Four Oaks, NC 27524. All tackle football participants must attend a registration session.
All forms will also be available at the registration sessions.
*There are a couple of registration items that you may not be able to take care of at registration such as report card and physical. These items must be submitted by July 1, 2009 and should be mailed to South Johnston Pop Warner, 611 Gum Swamp Rd, Four Oaks, NC 27524:
Copy of report card showing grades from the ENTIRE 2008-2009 school year, including the grade assignment for the 2009-2010 school - be careful copying the legal size report cards they cut off the information at the bottom. (See Scholastics Requirements below for details.)
Physical form - Physical must be completed on or after January 1, 2009. We recommend that you keep a copy of the physical for your records.
Age and Weight Requirements for Participants
Flag/Tiny-Mite football cheerleading are open to youth ages 5-7. There are no weight restrictions at the flag football level. Tackle cheerleaders are assigned to divisions by age. There are no weight restrictions for tackle cheerleaders.
Tackle football players are assigned to divisions based on a combination of age and weight as follows (age as of July 31, 2009):

Scholastics Requirements
South Johnston Pop Warner Football & Cheerleading is part of the National Pop Warner Little Scholars organization. The program's philosophy is that academics and athletics go hand in hand. South Johnston Pop Warner is required to submit academic information on each participant and each team (both cheerleading and football). The national office uses this information to determine academic eligibility for the program and to award academic honors and scholarships. We must have grades from the entire 2008-2009 school year for each participant (except those who have not started school yet). If the participant changed schools during the year, then grades from each school attended must be provided. We have to have grades for the entire school year.
If the participant was home schooled, you must provide a letter on letterhead that has the name of the home school as registered with the state of North Carolina (you can create this letterhead). The letter should include a one-line statement saying who teaches the child and that the instructor is certified by North Carolina to home school and another statement about the child's academic performance (provide a grade for each subject taught). According to National Pop Warner rules, students who are home schooled are considered pass/fail and are not eligible for academic honors. However, we must have this information so that the academic eligibility of a team can be verified.
Participants who do not meet the minimum academic standards of a 2.0 average or do not have a report card must have their school for the 2008-2009 school year complete the 2009 Scholastic Eligibility Form.
