Online Registration for Thunder Youth Spirit Revolution is currently open. However, any registrations received after April 23rd will not be pre-printed for registration on April 24th.
Team assignments and coaches’ information will be communicated to cheerleaders by mid-July. The start of our season is on or about August 1. All cheer practices will be held outside at the Belvidere Central Middle School. Mandatory conditioning is required for the first 2 weeks of the season. Following the first two weeks, practice will be held twice a week .
Cheerleaders will be given a uniform provided by TYSR which will yours to keep. Girls will also need to purchase shoes through the appropriate vendor, information will be given at parent meeting.
Girls will be required to cheer weekly at their assigned football team’s games which will be held on Saturdays beginning in late August. Each team will travel according to the schedule that will be communicated after the season starts. (*Note-this may include Wednesday night and Sunday games)
Information will be provided regarding fundraising and mandatory volunteer responsibilities. All cheer parents are required to fulfill volunteer tasks which include, but are not limited to, shifts at the entrance gate, concession stand and in the spirit wear tent at home games.
Non-competitive cheer teams will participate in a cheerleading Exhibition in late September as well as any play-off games according to their assigned football team’s schedule. (*Note-this may include Wednesday night and Sunday games)
Competitive cheer teams will participate in cheer/dance competitions in October through February. Please be aware of the additional time commitment and expense of participating on a competitive-level team.
