Warwick Boy's Lacrosse Club Mission Statement
September 8, 2010
The Warwick Boy's Lacrosse Club strives to achieve the following:

Introduce and promote the sport of Lacrosse to the young men of the Warwick School District.
Create an environment where teamwork, commitment and good sportsmanship are at the basis of everything we do.
Creating a positive spirit of competition.
In addition to these overarching objectives, at each level of play the following will be emphasized:

Developmental Level (3rd and 4th Grades) - Teach the fundamentals of lacrosse, understanding the basic skills and obtaining some game experience. Coaches will strive for equal play time for all players.
Elementary Level (5th and 6th Grades) - Continue to teach the fundamentals of lacrosse, reinforcing the importance of teamwork, focus the team on continual improvement throughout the season, not the win/lose record of the season.
Middle School Level (7th and 8th Grades) - Depending on the number of players registered to play, varsity and junior varsity teams may be created in order to better match the player's abilities with those from other schools with similar abilities. All players at this level will play. However, equal play time for every game is not guaranteed, but rather at the discretion of the coach depending on the player's abilities. But most importantly looking out first for the safety of the player.
