Bantams vs Parents Game
The parents tallied a score with seconds left in the game last night to tie the Black Squirrels 2-2 before a huge crowd
at Westfield State College. A miracle save, by the Bantams Goalie just seconds before, looked as though the Squirrels would prevail.
If was a battle, with the Squirrels scoring two in a row after the parents notched the first goal of the game.
The game was the most fairly refereed game of all time, with no bad calls and complete acceptance by both teams as to the quality of the officiating.
The Squirrels entered last nights game on a roll having won their last four games, the last three by shut-out. Now we know why these
Girls play so well, they must get it from their parents, who flew up and down the field as though they were on wings.
The huge throng of fans was well behaved and everyone enjoyed a great party afterward where a team poem was read, pizza was consumed, and gifts were exchanged.
