YOUTH BASKETBALL (1st-6th Grade)
This program is for everyone! It is designed for beginners all the way to seasoned players and kids can try camp for free before registering. We offer 3 levels of participation:
-Level 1 is the Preseason Camp. It includes 5 days of skills training and inter-squad games; players can attend for free to determine if kids want to commit to season.
-Level 2 is League/Little Dribbler Season with surrounding schools; including Harmony, Hawkins, and Union Grove. In addition to season, players will learn and perform ball handling routine during half time at 2 HS games.
-Level 3 is an opportunity for 3rd grade through 6th grade players to make an All-Star Team and play in a year end tournament with teams from all over East TX.
Preseason Camp: (FREE to all; try before you buy!)
-Each day will involve fundamentals and inter-squad games. Focus is on learning fundamentals then applying during instructional-games. Through observations of inter-squad games, league teams will be determined and announced the final day.
-Must attend at least half of camp to play in League/Little Dribbler Season!
-Dec 9, 12, 13, 14, 15
o Sun Dec 9 from 1-5 pm; W-Fri Dec 12-14 from 5:30-8 pm; Sat Dec 15 from 1-5 pm.
o Parent/guardian must attend first part of Sun Dec 9 to sign in player & hear rules/expectations.
League/Little Dribbler Season:
-$55; Multi-family discount available.
-Includes camp, team shirt, certificate with team/individual photo, and awards ceremony.
-Registration available onsite each day at end of camp FINAL DAY TO
REGISTER is FRI DEC 14.
-Season date range Jan 7-Feb 23; practice, game schedules, & teams will be announced Sat Dec 15.
-Practice generally 2x a week & games on Sat
-League age groups/divisions
o 1st-2nd grade co-ed
o 3rd-4th grade girls' team & boys' team
o 5th-6th grade girls' team & boys' team
?Halftime performances at HS games (dates/times TBA)
All Star Team & Tournament:
-Selection at Awards ceremony
-3-4th grade boys & girls team; 5th-6th grade boys & girls team; DAY/TIME TBA.
