MISSION BACKGROUND

There is an urgent need for meaningful programs to be developed to reach an array of young boys and girls. There is a major disconnect between what they consider relevant and what is known to be essential. The disconnection between the two has created a perception that there is a lack of interest in their values and their lives. In many instances this is not the case. However, this dilemma has been the cause of frustration and loss in keeping these youth from making poor decisions. As a result, some of the problems of youth go unaddressed and conditions are not improved. There is a better way and it must be implemented with the conviction and integrity that the crisis mandates.

"Carolina Jazz Basketball, where excellence and integrity are never compromised, ensures the high quality development and performance of all activities through a dedicated and prepared staff assisting member boys and girls to develop useful lifelong skills that will empower them to be successful in meaningful endeavors that will improve the quality of their lives and those who part of their lives so that communities will inherit a cadre of men and women who are prepared to succeed in the 21st Century".
