All Players Set UP, and Clean Up.

Congratulations to Toner Corl for winning the 2015 Hitting League Batting Title.  This is his second hitting league title.  Toner won the 2014 Hitting league.

With an amazing score of 70200 points.  10000 points ahead of the next closest participant.  Toner demonstrated consistent performance in the cage, on the tee, bunting and at the throwing target.

Well Done Toner.  You definitely demonstrated a 1PW mindset and approach.

2011 Regular Season Results

It is official, the 2011 Wildcat Hitting League results are final. It was a suspense filled season which involved a very close battle for the highest point getter. The season also had many rookies show their stuff in the batters box. There were numerous 10,000 point performances through out the year which involved great hitting and accurate throwing. Players demonstrated that they can hit in the clutch. Way to go Wildcats. One thing is certain from this years competitors, is that they can "Flat Out" Hit. Their "Weapon of Choice" this season was the Demarini maple composite bat.
The crown for the Wildcat Hitting League batting title came down to two great players, Trey Stover and Ryan Hill. In the end, Trey pulled off a big final week to secure the Batting Title crown. Congratulations to Trey on winning this year's batting title and to Ryan for forcing the crown to be captured during the last at bats of the season. You are to be commended on your desire and commitment to "Striving for Excellence".
The Rookie of the Year goes to Cayden Stover on his hitting performance. Cayden was consistent each week putting up great numbers and finished 3rd on the leader board and was the highest point getter for the rookies. Congratulations.

2009 Hitting League Champions

February 8, 2009
Sunday, February 22nd Congratulations go out to Zach Rote and Seth Lowery for capturing the 2009 CM Hitting League Crown. They defeated Ryan Watkins and Cody Dolan by a mere 200 points. This is unheard of in the history of the hitting league, just as an overall share of the batting title occurred between Ryan and Zach. Seth and Zach were trailing up to the last round of hitting. A clutch hit off the L-Screen on the money ball by Lowery was the hit that enabled them to take home the crown. Both teams exhibited Great Class in this final game. Now we come together to go "BACK on the ATTACK" for the 2009 spring season.
Colten Stover and Scott Zuback didn't fare so well in the semi-finals, but came back with hot bats and ended up taking a Third place finish. Overall, this hitting league season was the most competitive season ever. All teams had the fire power to do damage. Great Job.
The coaches would like to take this opportunity to thank the players for coming in to the gym, and getting to work. A special THANK YOU to you veteran players for setting the example. BCBP Attitude and Effort... it is contagious!

This is it, the 2009 regular season of the CM Hitting League has come to an end. The last 8 weeks went by very fast. The coaches would like to Thank ALL players who made the sacrifices each week and demonstrated your commitment and dedication to the Wildcat program. Championships are built in the off-season.
Can you believe after 8 weeks of competition, we ended up with a tie for the batting title? The 2009 Batting Title Champions are Ryan Watkins, and Zach Rote. They scored 57,500 points. The race for the crown was the closest it has ever been in the history of the league. There were 7 players in the running for the title heading into the last week of play. Congratulations Ryan and Zach.

Opening Day. What a Hit!

January 8, 2006
CLICK HERE FOR THE "2006 Hitting League Schedule"
Let The Games BeginThe 2006 season is now on the way, and it seems as if some players never put down the lumber over the Christmas season. January 8th was opening day with 11 teams competing to make it into the post season tournament. The gym was filled with enthusiasm and energy as the players participated. This years season has two new areas involved in the scoring. They are the throwing competition, and the situational hitting. The throwing competition had B. Barth, J. Bechdel, and C. Harpster as the high point getters for the day. They hit 50% of their throws. For the situational hitting, the players need to score runs to make points. They may choose to sacrifice, bunt for a hit, hit and run, squeeze, or hit away to tally runs. "The Hit Parade" (B. Heggenstaller, J. Toner, and A. Houser) ended up scoring the highest run total of two runs during this segment of the game.
The biggest news of the day was the outrageous score J. Bechdel put up during his hitting. He just tatooed everything he hit. His score was 10350. His individual score was more than every one of the other teams scores. What a performance.
The official results are below:
1. Big Sticks (12950) (1-0)
2. Big Eee's (7200) (1-0)
3. Triple Threat (6550) (1-0)
4. Champs (5300) (1-0)
5. Bo Soxs (4300) (1-0)
6. Woolrich Woolpack (7100) (0-1)
7. Underdogs (5950 (0-1)
8. Predators (3350) (0-1)
9. On a Mission (2900) (0-1)
10. Hit Parade (2150) (0-1)
11. The Pistols (500) (0-0)

Next games will be played on Sunday, January 15th. See you there. Work out opportunities this week: Weight lifting(Mon, Wed), Conditioning/Agilities/Skill work (Tue), and Open Gym (Thur).

2006 Hitting League is Fast Approaching / The Teams are In!

December 23, 2005
Click Here for the 2006 Hitting League Schedule
Opening day for the 2006 Hitting League season is quickly approaching. Eleven teams of three signed up to participate. A schedule can be viewed by clicking the link above, or looking on Coach Kramer's door at school the week of January 2nd. Games will be played every Sunday for 8 consecutive weeks with the Championships being played the following week. This years league looks to be highly competitive with a mix of old and new teams. Lets get the lumber swinging and Play Ball!
A new twist this season includes a throwing accuracy competition. A fielding competition is also being tossed around. These new areas add a new dimension to the league and will allow for the "complete-all around" player to shine.
Two-thirds of last years team champions "The Woolrich Playaz", pictured above, are returning to defend their crown. The teams signed up to compete are: The Woolhood Woolpack(2005's Woolrich Playaz), The Bosoxs(2nd place last season), The Big Sticks(3rd place last season and regular season points leader with 119,900 points), Connection, Champs, The Pistols, Hit Parade, Predators, The Big Eee's, Triple Threat, and The Underdogs. As you can see, we have top notch teams competing in 2006.

The awards for this season will be Central Mountain Hitting League Bats. The Awards will be given to:
(1) The Championship Team Members, (Winners of the tournament)
(2) The individual with the highest cumulative point total for the season. (Hitting only)
(3) The individual with the highest point total on one day.
WHO WILL HIT and THROW THEIR WAY TO THE TOP?
Only time will tell.

The 2005 Season is Completed

February 15, 2005
The Woolrich Playaz captured the 2005 hitting league title. Going into the play-offs seeded 4th, the Playaz worked their way to the first ever hitting league championship in school history. The league was a HUGE success. A total of 10 teams competed in the Senior division along with 5 Junior division teams. Week in and week out hitters came to participate in one of sports' toughest skills to master. Hitting a round ball with a round bat and trying to hit it square isn't easy. Hitters have approximately .4 of a second to identify, locate, and swing at a pitch and hit it hard. Our hitters showed that they could do this. Continued success to the members of the Central Mountain Wildcat Baseball Program.

IT'S ALL OVER! BIG STICKS PREVAIL!

February 26, 2006

The Hitting League season has come to an end with a lot of action and excitement.  The single elimination tournament had many tight games which came down to the wire.  Round 1 had one upset with the Underdogs (seeded 5) knocking off the 4th seeded Predators.  All other games went to the higher seeded teams.  The number 1 seeded team, Big Sticks moved out the bracket into the finals with no major difficulties.  The number 2 seeded team, Woolhood Woolpack moved out their bracket to the finals also.  They had a close call in the simis with Triple Threat.  The score ended up 7300 to 7250.  What a game.  In the end, the two veteran teams met with some proving to do.  Last year these two teams met.  The Big Sticks were undefeated, just like this year, and ended up loosing in the playoffs.  The Woolhood Woolpack wound up being the 2005 league champs.  This year was a different story.  The Big Sticks came away with the victory and the title of LEAGUE CHAMPS!  Congratulations to the Big Sticks(Pictured Above), the Woolhood Woolpack, and all the other teams who participated.  Big Stick (Champs) team members are:  Josh Bechdel, Jon Ohl, and BJ Williamson.  Woolhood Woolpack (2nd place)  members are:  Justin Savrock, Blake Barth, and Josh Rote.
The league award winners are pictured above. Colten Stover won the rookie of the year, and BJ Williamson, Jon Ohl, and Josh Bechdel were the members of the team champs. Josh Bechdel was the leagues top point getter. Congratulations!
