About the Program

Honoring loved ones through a Park Bench is a thoughtful way to recognize and pay tribute to family and close friends.  The Parks Department provides the opportunity for members of the community to donate a Bench within the Parks systems through guidelines that allow for a coordinated and consistent program.  The cost of the bench is approx $1,500 and is subject to market price changes.  The cost of the bench is tax deductible.

Tribute Bench

You are responsible for ordering a 6’ cedar color bench with black engraved lettering, made of 100% recycled 2 x 4 plastic boards through Kirby Built and having it shipped to our Public Works Facility.  This is the ONLY approved bench size and color.  We will send you more information on the specifics via email.

For your convenience there will be a list of various Parks and Open Space available for you to choose for placement.  Our Parks Supervisor will meet with you to discuss the locations.  The maintenance of the Bench will be the responsibility of the Parks staff.  The order time for a Tribute Bench is approximately eight (8) weeks.  Upon receipt of the Bench, the Parks staff will do their best to arrange installation in a timely manner.
