FAQ's About Workbond Responsibilities

Q: How many shifts are parents responsible for?

A: All Families are responsible for 4 workbond shifts if they do not volunteer as a coach, manager or team parent during the season. Only exception are families with a child in t ball only, they are only required to complete 2 shifts

 

Q: How long is a shift?

A: All shifts are 3 hours in length.

 

Q: Do I have to work all 4 shifts in the kitchen?

A: No, we offer Field Duty also. Time to time we also offer Clean up duty at the complex. Keep an eye out on social media for those events. 

 

Q: What happens if I already signed up for a shift but I can't work 3 hours?

A: Please stop by the refreshment stand and see  Auxiliary President, they will work with you to get your time rescheduled.

 

Q: What happens if I am having trouble finding time to fulfill my workbond hours?

A: Please stop by the refreshment stand and speak with our  Auxiliary President, they will work with you to find a time to get you scheduled.

 

Q: Do I have to sign in or out to get credit for working?

A: Yes, you must be signed out in the Workbond book by a member of the Auxiliary, otherwise you will not be credited with time worked.

 

Q: When do I know my shift is over?

A: Please check with a member of the Auxiliary prior to leaving to ensure you worked your full shift and so you get signed out to receive credit for working.

 

Q: What is Field Duty?

A: Field Duty takes place on Saturday mornings at 8am sharp. It includes various tasks that prepare the fields and the complex for our busiest day of the week, Saturday. When reporting for Field Duty on Saturdays, please report to the Board member in charge of Field Duty for that day to ensure you get signed in.

A: Clean Up duty is new position we created for those that cannot or do not want to work in the kitchen. Responsibilities include picking up all garbage on the complex, emptying garbage cans, cleaning bathrooms and the kitchen upon completion of the last games of the evening.
