 Rules for Track and Field @
Ken Autry Davis Field
 

 

·         No metal cleats may be worn on track or field

·         Band/Drill teams props must have protective coverings -  cannot mark or scar track or field

·         All equipment such as tables, fans, benches, etc, must have protective bases

·         No bicycles or skateboards on track or field

·         No motorized vehicles on the track or field

·         No glass bottles, cans, or food on track or field

·         Only water can be used on track or field.  No colored drinks such as Gatorade

·         Use of tobacco, sunflower seeds, and gum are prohibited.  This includes vapor         cigarettes

·         No confetti allowed

·         Only personnel with sideline passes are allowed on the field before and after the game

·         No tents allowed on field or in stands

·         Responsible for taking all posters/signs off of fence after the conclusion of competition

·         Use of the field must be approved by administration

Scrimmage time for Emory Rains is 9 am.

Game times for Scurry games only are:  K-2 @ 11:00 am, 3-4 @ 1:00 pm and 5-6 @ 3:00 pm.  Reminder that teams need to be there and hour before game time.  These games will be played at the Jr High field.

WELCOME TO WPYSA

2013 FOOTBALL SEASON

 

We are very pleased to have your child participate as a football player to represent WPYSA.  We want everyone to be able to work together as board members, parents, directors/instructors, and squad members so that this will be our best season ever.  If you ever have a question or problem, we at WPYSA welcome your concerns and appreciate a phone call.  Please give us the opportunity to work on an immediate solution.  We appreciate your patience as we strive to work out any issue that may arise.  We do ask that you only call us on the numbers listed below at reasonable hours, except in an emergency.

 

FEES:               The fees have been kept as reasonable as absolutely possible.  The fee is payable in installments with the final one due at the commissioner’s discretion.  Upon signups, you should have received a budget breakdown specific to your child’s age group.

 

2013  Football Season $175.00   (includes concession)

Payment plans are available.  Please contact commissioner or assistant commissioner in regards to any questions you have. 

 

There is an admission fee to each game that is $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for students and senior citizens—the participating child will not pay.

 

GAMES:           All games are played on Saturday afternoon/evenings (except make-up games).  A schedule will be provided to you as soon as possible.  Football players are to attend ALL events including play-offs, Super Bowl, and make-up games.  Football players will also be required to stay for all 5 quarters.  Please also note that we do travel for our games, in the surrounding counties.  Transportation for your child to and from games are the parents responsibility.  (There are 10 regular season games usually starting in the latter part of August.)  No outside food or containers are allowed inside the gate.  All drinks and food must be purchased from the concession stand.

 

Each player is expected to be at the field 1 hour prior to each game (including 13 games – 10 regular season, playoffs, and superbowl) in full uniform and ready to play.  We play in the heat, cold, and heavy rain.

 

GAME TIMES:

K – 2nd                                                   4:00pm – 6:00pm           ARRIVE:  3:00pm

3rd – 4th                                                  6:00pm – 8:00pm           ARRIVE:  5:00pm

5th – 6th                                                  8:00pm – 10:00pm         ARRIVE:  7:00pm

 

 

PRACTICE:       Tri-County allows football players to practice 8 hours per week the first week of practice and 6 hours per week after that.  We normally practice Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, from 6pm – 8pm.  Exact times are at the discretion of the Commissioners and Football Coaches.

Football - 2013


We are happy to welcome all players and parents to the Wills Point Youth Sports Association Football Program. We are hopeful that this will be the most exciting football season you've ever experienced. Our goal is to develop well-rounded young men and women who learn not only the fundamentals of football, but also the importance of education and teamwork, in an atmosphere conductive to developing sound mind, body and character - and having a good time along the way.

The Football Program of the Wills Point Youth Sports Association consists of coaches that are dedicated to teaching the youth of their particular group, the fundamentals and sportsmanship of great football. These organizations participate in some of the greatest youth football games in the country. This league consists of great coaches and parents. This year's coaches will concentrate on DESIRE, CONFIDENCE and LOVE OF THE GAME.
 
Our 2014 Commissioner is Jose Garza and our Assistant Commissioner is Gary Sturdevant.

Our 2014 Coaches will be decided prior to football season.

We will compete in the Tri-County Football League for the 2014 season. Football fees are $175.00: which includes game pants & pads, practice pants, shoulder pads, and helmet. All fees will have to be paid in full on before your child receives a uniform.  Please contact us in regards to payment plans. The only things that you have to provide are the cleats and your child to the practices & games!

Important Info to Know (As of 1/16/2013)  Game times may change but any changes will be posted in June:

* Games this year are $3 admission price for adults, $1 admission price for students and senior citizens (which must be requested in order not to offend), and free for children younger than school age.
* Game start times are Midgets - 4pm (K-2), Pee-Wee - 6pm (3-4), and Little League - 8pm (5-6). All football players are to check in 1 hour before the game with their coach for warm up and weigh in.
* Any other questions that you may have in regards to the game rules and association rules are covered in the Tri-County Rules & By-laws, which are currently being updated and will be available for you in the "Handouts" section of this website.
