Vestal, JC and BHS Get Hockey Wins

In a busy day of high school hockey action at the BCC Ice Center, Vestal, Johnson City and Binghamton all recorded wins Sunday afternoon.

The Golden Bears beat Chenango Valley 8-3 thanks to a hat trick from Andrew Gleason. Meanwhile Johnson City took care of Union-Endicott 4-2.

Binghamton also got by Maine-Endwell 5-4.

Chenango Valley 4, Johnson City 1:Chenango Valley took the lead early in the first period after Rocco DeAngelo’s goal at 8:05 and Matt Benko’s goal at 6:47 and never trailed.

Nate Walker helped Johnson City avoid the shutout, scoring with 12:15 left in the third period.

JC, UE Net High School Hockey Wins

The Johnson City Wildcats scored two goals in the 2nd period to beat Maine-Endwell 3-1 at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

Union-Endicott doubled up Chenango Valley 8-4 at the B.C.C Ice Center.
