I wish to enroll my child in the 2009 Lady Cougar Softball Camp. Neither Catoctin Softball Camp, its directors, Catoctin High School, nor anyone else connected with the camp assumes any responsibilities for accidents (medical or dental) or any other injuries incurred as a result of attendance at this camp. Daily Schedule
8:30-8:45-Campers arrive at the field and prepare themselves for a day of hard work and fun
8:45-9:00-Warm-up run and proper stretching
9:00-9:20-Warm-up throwing
9:20-9:30-Divide into age groups and move to appropriate area
9:30-11:00-Campers will rotate through three 1/2 hour stations, which will be different each day but will include
-hitting
-infield/outfield
-pitching
-catching
-throwing technique
-competitions
11:00-11:45-Scrimmage games
11:45-12:00-Rap up the day, and go over key points
Each camper will need: sneakers, cleats, glove, water bottle
Optional: helmet, batting gloves, bat, catching gear

Camp Staff
The 2009 Lady Cougar Softball Camp staff will consist of the current CHS coaching staff, along with current players. Some of the young ladies who will be assisting with the camp were a part of the 2006 Maryland 1A State Championship team. There will also be past players who are now continuing their softball career at the collegiate level who will be on staff.
Coach Jessica Valentine
Coach Valentine just completed her 1st season as Head Coach at CHS. Coach graduated from Division II Mars Hill College in 2006. She was primarily the starting 3rd baseman but also played short stop and caught. In her tenure at MHC, she broke numerous single season and career records. She currently holds the record for games played, doubles, hits, runs scored and 2nd in homeruns and RBI’s.
Coach Des Harbaugh
Coach Harbaugh just completed her 1st season as Assistant Head Coach at CHS. Coach graduated from Division I Rider University in 2007. She was primarily the starting left fielder, but also played some 2nd base. In her Junior season she led the team in home runs and RBIs.
Coach Kate (Davis) Barrick
Coach Barrick just completed her 2nd season had Head Softball Coach at Hood College. Coach graduated from Division I Fordham University. She was a 3-time Atlantic 10 all-conference selection and was A-10 Player of the Year her junior season. She left her mark on the record books, setting career records in home runs, RBIs, slugging %, and total bases.
