Meet days:

You should arrive at meet location by 5pm for all but the last meet (championships), where you should arrive by 4:30 pm. Parents and runners can walk the course before the race. We will then warm up and group stretch. For order of race’s please refer to Grade Groupings. Races go off at approximate fifteen minute intervals.

Meet Scoring Results:

As athletes cross the finish line they are given numbers 1,2,3 etc. The first 15 receive ribbons. For team purpose a team must have a minimum of 3 members compete as a team. You then add the three lowest finishers on your team and compare to the other teams. The lowest 3 team total is the victor. If your runners come in placing 4th,5th and 6th you could easily win with a team score of 15. At most practice meets we will only compete against teams with the same color dot on the name tags so it is possible our team could place 3rd overall but first within the colored dot grouping we represent. At the championship meet all teams compete against one another within four grade groupings. In the Relay Meet each team has five runners. If a team has fewer than five members they are mixed with other runners and form a mixed team.
