Gators vs. Untouchables

The most anticapated match up of the week did not fail to live up to the hype as the Gators were able to get by a scare against The Untouchables. To start the game The Untouchables coming off a loss looked fired up and jumped to an early 8-0 lead after a beautiful TD pass from Mike to Jared. The Gators came right back to cut the deficit to 2 and from there it was a battle the rest of the way. Costly mistakes from the Untouchables in the second half kept them from securing a lead and once the Gators took a late lead they could never recover. Only a 2-pt game with little time the Untouchables had one last chance to pull off the upset but an interception thrown ended their hopes. Gators were able to survive their closest game of the season to remain undefeated.

Ciccone vs. Spartans

The most entertaining part about this game was the trash talking going on between the sidelines and Pigg, as the actual game was very ugly. It looked as though Ciccone would roll in this one as the mental mistakes from the Spartans and and their tough D combined to make it very difficult for the Spartans to manage to get a first down. The bright spot as always in the game was Lorenzo as his devastating cuts left Spartan defenders grabbing air instead of his flag. This one did get close near the end when the Spartans cut it to 14-6 but the Ciccone defense was able to come through in the clutch and secure a much needed victory.

Team Rockstar vs. Brick Squad

Rockstar had neither of their two Quarterbacks to play this week so they had to try and weather the storm with Heleno as QB. It was a struggle all game for both teams to score as they each only scored, one of the biggest plays of the game came when Heleno was tackled in the endzone but the refs ruled it as a safety in a huge turning point. Rockstar did the best they could with no QB but in the end it was another devastating defeat for them.

Gators vs. Young Gunz

In one of the most shocking games of the week the Young Gunz gave a great effort at trying to spoil the Gators undefeated season. The Young Gunz took an early lead and came out on fire and it looked as though an upset could be in the making. However that would be the last time they would find the endzone. After the Gators scored and converted on a 2 PT conversion to take the lead they never looked back and squeaked out a close W to head into the final week of the season undefeated, with the game of the season ahead of them.

Silverbacks vs. Beast Mode

Norm put on a clinic against Beast Mode as he threw for a ridiculous 5 TDs to zero interceptions. I am pretty sure the Backs scored more TDs than Beast Mode had first downs in this game. The Backs D has been shutting teams down all season long and was able to pitch a shut out like I thought they would against this struggling Beast Mode squad. The Backs appear to be playing their best football of the season at the right time with the playoffs approaching.

SIlverbacks vs. 95

A more exciting game than I expected with the trash talk that went on and Killa of the Silverbacks always is a must watch when he steps on the field. 95 battled back to make this game semi-competitive but three more TD passes from Norm in this game which made his total on the day 8 was too much for 95 to overcome. The defensive greatness of the backs was once again in effect, when they absolutelt needed big plays and stops they were able to shutdown 95 to keep their record a perfect one headed into the most antipated game in ECFF history next week.

Spartans vs. Untouchables

Coming off of two heartbreaking defeats to Wilcard and Gators, the Untouchables were trying to avoid what seemed unthinkable, a three game losing streak. A tough battle all the way through and Pigg who has been in somewhat of a slump lately came to play as his Rushing TD and Passing TD were the difference in the game. The Untouchables offense couldn't get anything going for most of the game and the Spartans were able to pull off a big upset preventing the Untouchables from getting a much needed win. With the playoffs fast approahing the Untouchables need to get back on track quickly if they plan on making a run at the championship.

Young Gunz vs. Relentless

There is no way around it, this game had to be a candidate for most boring game of this session, I could barely keep my eyes open during it. Both offenses could not get anything going, resulting in only one TD scored all game. Mike's passing TD was all that was needed as the Young Gunz shut out Relentless who have struggled mightly at times in their first session in the ECFF.

EP Ballerz vs. Wildcard

Two upcoming teams in the ECFF went at it and it was a good one all the way through. The biggest play of the game was a controversial one as Bay had a great punt return for a TD but there was a debate one whether he was touched after his flag fell off, the rulong on the field was a TD. The resilient WIldcard squad came right back however with a beautiful long ball from Ritt to Jerrelle who has been playing about as good as any player in the league the past few weeks. An EP score to Vic was enough to give them a 12-7 lead that they would hold on to as Wildcards last hope was a hail mary and Ritt was unable to get enough air on the ball which was unfortunate as they executed a nice play drawing the double team on Jerrelle and throwing the opposite way. Ultimately EP was finally able to get a win versus a good team but they still managed to cry and complain most of the game, this trend is making them one of the most unlikable teams to spectators.
