I am excited about the 2007 softball season and I can't wait to get started. Before we get into the season I want to give the players and parents of the Eden Storm team a little information so everyone will be on the same page.
What you can expect from me as a coach
Dedication to making the girls better softball players
New techniques to teach the girls
Set a good example for behavior on and off the field
Be available- Parents can talk to me before / after practice or on the phone if they have any questions.
    Things I expect from players
Come to practice prepared (cleats, glove, helmet, sliding shorts, mouth guard)
Ask questions if you don’t understand
Focus- only softball while at practice, and tournaments.
Intensity & Desire to win- I can’t give you these, they come from within
No putting down your teammates (everyone helps each other)
Practice continually- The more you practice the more comfortable you’ll play
Never quit, and never say I can't.
    What I expect from Parent
Involvement- From time to time the team my do things (fundraisers, special activities, parties, etc.) If we have a public fundraising activity where we will be going somewhere as a group every team member is expected to show up to show the community you support your team.
Transportation- The girls need to be at practices and games. Girls need to be ready for practice so we can start at the scheduled time.
Support your girls; if you show them you care they will put more into it.
Be willing to give your girls extra practice time. The more we put into them the more they will get out of it.
