FUNDRAISERS: Fundraisers are the main income of the organization and help keep registration fees low. Each family is required to participate in each fundraiser. The Hadley Farm Cinnabon fundraiser will kick off our season followed by a Raffle for two Redskin/Dallas Suite Tickets with Parking Pass. Team Moms will distribute our Fundraisers during the first weeks of practice. All proceeds benefit to the Frederick Steelers children. THANK YOUJ.
PICTURE DAY: (held at FCF Church located 10142 Hansonville Road, Frederick, MD 21702):Picture Day will be set in the fall. Please bring your player in full uniform, including socks and cleats. Order Forms will be distributed beforehand by Team Mom prior to Picture Day
PRACTICES: (held at FCF Church located 10142 Hansonville Road, Frederick, MD 21702): Practices will be held at FCF Church beginning Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. (During daylight savings time, practice ends at dusk). Players are required to attend practices to insure a spot on the team. Any child who is going to miss practice must contact their Coach and/or Team Mom.
EQUIPMENT:(located in “The Shed” at FCF Church located 10142 Hansonville Road Frederick, MD 21702):
Frederick Steelers Provides: Helmet, shoulder pads, game jersey and game pants - ONLY. These items require a $250.00 deposit check. DO NOT fill in date. This check will not be deposited, provided all equipment is returned undamaged. These checks are held until the end of the season. Once equipment return has concluded all outstanding checks will be ACH deposited. Every player will have equipment form regardless if player has own equipment, due to jersey handout. Player Provides: Practice jersey, practice pants, protective cup, mouthpiece and Rubber molded cleats Note: No Metal cleats are permitted. Mouth Pieces must connect to helmet and CANNOT be clear. No equipment/jersey will be issued if there is an outstanding balance! You may make pay at equipment handout.

Quick Right onto Hansonville Road, Make left at first entrance of FCF Church. Equipment Shed located to the left of the parking lot • Practice Field located to the right behind the building.
MD STATE ID CARDS: In order to be eligible to participate, a MD State ID is required. You may obtain one from MVA. If you cannot, you will be required to get an ID issued by MMYFCL – Please notify your coach or Team Mom if you need an MMYFCL ID.
SEASON/LEAGUE: The Frederick Steelers Program plays in a highly competitive level of contact football. During the Fall Season we participate in Mid-Maryland Youth Football & Cheer League, American Division. Games will be on Saturday. Schedules for the entire season, rules and regulations will be provided at a later date.

1. How is my child’s team determined?
Players are rostered based on their age as of August 1, 2014. There are also weight limits as determined by MMYFLC. Team assignment will be determined by the Coach and Athletic Director and discussed with parents at the beginning of the season.
2. What do I need to complete my registration?
Maryland MVA picture ID or if you are in military, military dependent ID card (United States Uniformed Services ID Card). If you are not eligible for MVA ID, players may obtain a MMYFCL ID card for a fee.
Physicals or proof of physicals, within the year, before season. (See Handouts link for physical forms.)
3. What can I do to get my child ready for football?
Pre-season workouts are offered FREE OF CHARGE by the Coaches and staff of the Frederick Steelers, they are Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning June 10th from 6-8pm at FCF Church 10142 Hansonville Rd, Frederick, MD 21702. Sign up for email and text notifications in case of cancellations.
4. What do I bring to preseason workouts?
Dress comfortably and bring a WATER BOTTLE! Water Refill stations will be available but you must have a water bottle.
5. What equipment do I need to purchase for the football season?
The Frederick Steelers will issues each player a helmet, game pants, and a game jersey. You are responsible to purchase the following:
Practice football pants
Mouth Piece – Buying extra mouthpieces is highly recommended
Game Socks – 2 pairs (1 pair gold and 1 pair black)
