Our service manager Dink and lead mechanic Jeremy will be attending two additional Ducati and Triumph schools the first of the year 2008 to increase our knowledge on all of the newest models which will allow us to improve our service to you, our important customer!
Congratulations to our riders Tim Joyce 500 premier champ on the Maurice Candy Manx Norton, Rob McLendon National Champ Sound of Thunder Triumph Daytona 675, Battle of the Twins Formula II Champ on a Ducati 1000SS, and Triumph Thruxton Cup Champ for the second year in a row. Richard Sullivan WERA National Champ Formula II Novice on his Rob McLendon, BUilt and Tuned, Suzuki SV 650.
D&D has a long history of racing and winning from Dirt Track, Motorcross, Roadracing and Enduro's going back to the 50's and 60's with Robert McLendon Sr. racing a Triumph Tiger Cub in scrambles which became motocross in later years. Dink raced motocross and enduro's in the early 70's winning the Gulf Coast Open class championship in 1981. Sister Lisa raced a BSA in the early days of AHRMA and rode Daytona in the Eighties.
Our plans for 2008 include building a new Daytona 675 engine with Triumph factory race parts and contesting the Formula Extreme class starting with Daytona in March. In other news Rob has been named AHRMA National Dirt Track Director and will be traveling around the country to promote and organize the Dirt Track Program. Bookmark this page for more racing results and future plans.
2008 Schedule TBA.
