Parents and Players,
I just want to give a quick update on our team. To date I’m very impressed with the hard work the boys have put in. They have all shown up to practice every night ready to work, and I feel it showed in our scrimmage last Saturday. But it is still early in the season and we have a lot more work to do. Parents I’m pleased to say that not one of our kids has complained that they did not want to practice or asked if practice almost over. This has not been the case in the past. We coaches are trying to keep them constantly busy doing something. Although it may seem confusing to the parents and players we will continue to move players around trying to uncover their talent. I have seen so much progress since week one. Keep encouraging your kid to pay attention, work hard and have fun. If you have any questions or concerns please email me or call me at anytime.(330-212-9288)

Parents, I want to thank you for not leaving a mess after practice to clean up. You have all been very supportive thus far. I do ask if you could help your child with making sure he has all of his equipment before he comes to the field and when he leaves the field.

Couple of Important notes: NO practice on Thursday the 20th. (Nolley open house)

Scrimmage on Tuesday the 25th at Tallmadge: Important to try and be there by 5:15 as we have our official weigh- in before the game. If you are running late you can call me and let me know: 330-212-9288 We will be wearing our WHITE (away) Jerseys with black pants and socks.( As always recommended bring both jerseys just incase.)

There are few items needed from some of our players: medical release/birth cert./report cards/ etc. please take care of this if you haven’t. Lisa would like to close the book on this as she has giant work load to take care of.

On a sad note: It is with great sadness that I convey a horrible tragedy from this past weekend. Two of the 7th grade football players from Ellet (who our A Team scrimmaged Saturday) died in a car accident Saturday night. The teams in the league are taking donations and pooling these together to give to the two families who lost their sons in this tragic accident. There will be a box at the concession stand for any donations (cash or gift cards for gas or groceries) as well as this weekend at the scrimmage. We will announce this at the scrimmage, as a reminder. We all know times are tough right now, but anything you are able to give will be greatly appreciated as it goes to our extended football family.
