The Middletown Flames 12U team won the ISA National Qualifier 12K Karat tournament in Woodbridge over the weekend. Going 5-0 for the weekend and earning a berth to the ISA Nationals in Cocoa Beach FL.

12U - PFX Tour

The Middletown Flames 12U won the PFX Tournament over the weekend in Newtown, PA going 2-0 on Sunday. A great start to a new year of softball!
But the big story here is the girls spending time in and around the Pro softball players. The Pros had a great weekend playing softball. Friday night’s game was exciting watching Lisa Fernandez freeze batters with that devastating change up and Ashley Monceaux's game-winning hit with two outs brought excitement to the Fans in attendance. Saturday’s game included some big blasts from the Pros. Tina Boutelle led off the game with a home run and Natasha Watley hit the scoreboard in deep right for a two run blast.
The Flames 12U team was treated to a visit by Olympian Tairia Flowers. Tairia came over and said hello to the team and shared a few moments before her game. Also, the weekend would not be complete without shagging foul balls, getting their favorite Pro’s autograph, and having Dr. Dot Richardson place a first place medal around each girl! Like I said earlier - A great start to a new year of softball!
