Led by a trio of juniors -- CF Peter Verdin, 3B Brett Bowers and 1B-P Reed Bromley -- Paul VI Catholic is seeking to improve on last season's runner-up finish in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference. Bowers already has hit a three-run homer and a grand slam in victories over St. John's and DeMatha, respectively, and Bromley hit two home runs and had seven RBI in a victory over Centreville.
