Past Champions and History
May 21, 2000 - First local womens league begins at Polar Ice in Grapevine. Two teams are formed: Grapenuts(purple) and Nutcrackers(yellow).
Polar Ice:
2000 Spring/Summer - Grapenuts
September 2000 - Womens league grows to 4 teams: Blackout(black), Blizzard(white), Red Hot Chilly Peppers(red) and Wild Hares(blue).
2000-01 Fall/Winter - Red Hot Chilly Peppers
2001 Spring/Summer - Blackout
2001-02 Fall/Winter - Blackout
May 2002 - Womens league moves to Ice Training Center in Richardson.
Ice Training Center:
2002 Summer - Blackout
2002-03 Fall/Winter - Blackout
Blizzard changes name to Mantis.
2003 Spring/Summer - Blackout
Blackout changes name to Relentless.
Wild Hares disolve, Hornets(yellow) are formed.
2003-04 Fall/Winter - Hornets
2004 Spring/Summer - Hornets
2004-05 Fall/Winter - Hornets
Relentless changes name to Sharks.
2005 Spring/Summer - Sharks
Sharks changes name to Ice Sharks.
2005-06 Fall/Winter - Ice Sharks
2006 Spring/Summer - Ice Sharks
2006-07 Fall/Winter - Ice Sharks
2007 Spring/Summer - Hornets
League grows, adding a 5th team, the Raptors (green). The Red Hot Chilly Peppers (red) change name to the Devils.
2007-08 Fall/Winter - Ice Sharks
2008 Spring/Summer - Raptors
League grows again! Moved to two divisions: West (novice and intermediate) and East (upper intermediate and advanced). Three teams in each division. West teams are Peppers (red), Snow Monkeys (blue) and Panthers (gray). East teams are Ice Sharks (black), Raptors (green) and Polar Blast (white).
2008-09 Fall/Winter-WEST - Peppers

Teams were redrafted: West teams are Peppers (red), Snow Monkeys (black) and Thunderz (gray). East teams are Lightning (white), Raptors (green) and Wild Demons (blue).
2009 Spring/Summer- WEST - Peppers
2009 Spring/Summer-EAST - Lightning
2009-10 Fall/Winter - will be determined in May 2010 for both divisions.
