Helping a Local Marine!!!

Dear Ridge Youth Sports Families,
Please see below an email from Dan Levine, a local US Marine serving in Iraq. We raised $965.00 (over 2 Saturdays), $800.00 brought 6 pairs of boots, we are giving one pair to each Marine in Dan’s platoon and the rest will go towards shipping, sunflower seeds, wipes and socks.

Dear Football Players, Soccer Players and Cheerleaders. From Iraq, I want to
personally thank each and every one of you for the unbelievable support
you've shown to me and the 2nd Recon Battallion, Bravo Company, 1st Platoon.
As Reconnaissance Marines, we are responsible for providing long range,
small unit, ground reconnaissance and raid skills to support the MAGTF
(Marine Air Ground Task Force). Basically my unit is the eyes and ears for
the Commander of what ever area we are assigned to work in.
Louise has informed me that you guys have bought us 6 pairs of boots and
man, do we need them. We are constantly on the go and the boots don't last
as long as you'd expect. Also, the cards and other gifts are greatly
appreciated and keep us from getting too homesick.
Attached is a picture of the team you guys have helped so much (that's me on
the bottom right). I hope to meet all of you when I return stateside. Until
then, keep those letters and emails coming!!!
