Coach Paul Bigilin

Coach Paul Bigilin, involved with sports since the age of six, competed in and coached various sporting events from NY to Las Vegas, Nevada, to the United Kingdom. Coach Bigilin presently is the Head Coach & Trainer for the U12 Boys Massapequa Scorpions’ Premier Soccer Team since their inception in 2004 and has created an impressive track record, with a 84% winning record.

* Assistant Coach/Trainer BU12 Mid-Atlantic Futsal Regional Participants (2 Teams)
* 2007 Inter-Bandits Cup Champions
* Fall 2006: LIJSL Season Nassau U11 – Div. 1, 1st Pl., Undefeated Season: (9-0-0).
* Fall 2006: Recipient of LIJSL Nassau Major Fall Div. Sportsmanship Award, two years in a row.
* Spring 2006 – U11: Coach Bigilin successful track record, earned his team the following by the USA Soccer Team Ranking, (www.soccerincollege.com): New York State-#1, Region 1-#2, & National-#14.
* 2005/06 - 10U Season, finished with an impressive record of 65W – 7L – 5T.
* Spring 2006 Season, 7-1-1
* Spring 2006: 10U team won the Waldbaums’ Cup for the Long Island Championship
* Fall 2005: Coached the Scorpions to win the 10U Sportsmanship award.
* 2005/2006, 10U Season, Finished 1st place in the Fall Nassau Majors Division with a record of: 8-0-1.
* 2005/2006, Under his 1st travel season, Paul led the Massapequa Scorpions to win 1st Place in 8 soccer tournaments.
* Spring 2005: Coached his 9U boys, to be crowned ‘National 3 v 3 Soccer Champions’
He has won many individual awards and has been selected to numerous all tournament teams as a youth player and as an adult participant. Coach Bigilin was selected to coach his very first soccer tournament team for the MSC at the young age of 18. Coach Bigilin has been involved for over 20 years in coaching several youth sports programs that included soccer, basketball, girls’ softball and baseball. Paul also served on the MSC Executive Board of Directors For Two years.
Coach Bigilin has provided exemplary coaching to the development of MSC players since 2000, including the MSC Developmental Program, 2004. Coach Bigilin quality instructional practices and supportive role contributed to the deep talented pool of players in MSC.
Coach Bigilin continues to provide the pride, professionalism, competitive spirit and a winning attitude to the MSC and Massapequa soccer community. Paul teaches young soccer players sportsmanship with a favorable attitude towards other players and the game. He encourages kids to play to their full potential while having fun learning the game. He coaches with enthusiasm, creativity and demonstrates self-confidence in the knowledge of soccer. He is dedicated to improving the MSC reputation as an outstanding soccer organization.
