    Snowline Youth Football History
Wrightwood Bears, started in 1978. Twenty players participated, but injuries and a tough schedule forced the team to cancel their season after 4 games.

Tri-Community Youth Football was founded in 1989 by Tim Crimmins. Tim took over as President.  He had  3 years of coaching experience with Pop Warner Football in Valley Center, California. Tri-Community fielded two teams and had to play games on Sunday. In 1992 we changed the name to Snowline Youth Football Assoc., Inc. We changed the name because Tri-Lakes of Elsinore was always getting mixed up with our program. Snowline fielded 3 teams in 1992.

Our first season, we won our first game, (1-7). The next year we won the league title and first place in the Midget Division.  We only had 20 players. The team fell 1 game short of winning a Superbowl.

Our first female coach was Jolene Rogers.   In 1994 she coached a Micro team to a 3-5 record. Snowline fielded four teams in 1994.
Snowline was part of  the Antelope Valley Youth Football Association.  We had many successful teams in the early 90's.  Dan Rogers coached in four Superbowls and won two Superbowl titles.  From 1996 to 1998,  Snowline sent several teams to the Superbowl games. In 1998 the Snowline Freshman, with Head Coach Ron Chaffee, went 14-0 with 12 shutouts,  took a Superbowl title, went to Las Vegas, and won a National U.S. Title.

Snowline Diamondbacks moved its program to Inland Empire Junior All-American in 1999. This was a big move for our Chapter.  We had great success in AVYFA sending multiple teams to the playoffs and championship games. We chose to move based on several issues.  With AVYFA, we had to drive great distances to play football; Ridgecrest, Big Bear, Trona, Cal City, Mojave, and Bishop. I.E.J.A.A.F competition is tougher by far, but we have had some success since joining, and the drive is closer. In 1999 we fielded 5 teams and sent three to the playoffs. In 2000 we sent a Peewee team, coached by Ron Chaffee, to the Suberbowl Game and lost a close game against a tough Indio team.

Diamondbacks are still writing some history.  We have had several teams win their division.  Our Chapter experienced some growing pains for a couple of seasons. Snowline won division titles in 2002; Jr Pee Wee & Pee Wee, coached by Tim Crimmins. This was the last year Tim coached with the program.  He probably had the most success as a Head Coach in Snowline's history so far. In 2005 we had two teams win division titles:  Micros and Pee Wees.  In 2006 we had 3 Teams win  division titles.  This was the first ever by the Midget division since joining I.E.J.A.A.F.  Jr Micros and Jr Pee Wees also won that year, but it was the Jr Micros that made history, coached by Scott Cornell.  He took his team all the way to the Championship game and won Snowline's first-ever Championship in I.E.J.A.A.F.

Now, in 2009, our program continues to strive to get better.  We have joind the new High Desert Youth Football and Cheer Conference with Snowline's past Commissioner, Bob Reed, heading the Conference as its President.   This year we will play all of our regular High Desert rivals and have added Ridgecrest, Rosamond, and Lancaster to our roster.  We are looking forward to a new, exciting season with a great lineup.  Come on out and play, and be a part of Snowline's history in the making!!!
