VOLUNTEER POLICY

The Sacramento North Soccer Club serves our players through the involvement and dedication of volunteers. The entire club is run by volunteers and we are continuously in need of more volunteer assistance throughout most of the year. Although we value every volunteer, there are volunteers that require a more significant time commitment.

Board of Directors (BOD) Volunteer: All BOD are elected at the Annual General Membership Meeting. Elected BOD receive free player registrations for their time and service to the club. After viewing previous expenditure the BOD will not purchase any food, drinks, or clothing for the BOD and will purchase our own soccer apparrel just like coach and parent volunteers. If you are interested in a vacant BOD position contact snscpresident@gmail.com

Coach: Coaching is a great way to get involved with the club.  We have multiple opportunities for you to grow as coach. Recreational soccer is run by volunteer parent coaches and even the most experienced coaches started out as a parent volunteer. If you are interested in becoming a coach contact our directors of coaching and player development snsccoachcreed@gmail.com  or snsccoachsameer@gmail.com. Coaches are required to register and

Team Parent: A team parent will help keep the culture on your team, be a liason between the coach and the other parents, provide snack schedules and many other non-coaching duties. We recommend that each team have a team parent and we require that at least one representative attend the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) team parent meeting.

We are an all volunteer soccer club. Each team will have to share in the duties of lining fields, putting up nets/flags, taking down nets/flags, working the snack bar, and helping out at club events. Please contact you coach or anyone of the BOD contact page if you are interested in:

  • Assistant Coach
  • Referee
  • Field Preparation (e.g. painting, goal set up)
  • Field Workday Volunteer
  • Picture day volunteer
  • Trophy distribution volunteer
  • Seeding tournament volunteer
  • Equipment Distribution
  • Snack Bar volunteer
  • Soccer Fest volunteer

There will be a friendly competition between teams in each age bracket as to who can provide the most volunteers. The most volunteers in each category will receive a special prize for their entire team. Let's work together to build a stronger club and better youth athletes.
