Any information we receive on camps(football and cheer) we will post here. Note than NO camp is mandatory as Pop Warner can no require them but they are highly recommended as the more exposure a child has the more they learn.
Any information we receive on coaches' clinics (football and cheer) we will post. Some clinics are mandatory to coach others are informational and on a volunteer basis for attendance.

2008 Summer Camp
South Johnston Pop Warner Trojans will have a football/cheerleading conditioning camp this summer. Cheerleaders need to bring a towel to sit on and both “football & cheerleading campers" need to bring water bottles.
Conditioning camp will be Tuesdays & Thursdays @ Four Oaks Civitan fields (behind Four Oaks Elementary School) from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Camp will begin on Tuesday, July 8 and will continue through Thursday, July 31.
The camp is free and open to ALL boys and girls ages 5-15. There will be someone onsite on Tuesdays for anyone interested in signing up for the upcoming season.
This is not a Pop Warner sanctioned activity, and as such, participants do so at their own risk.

NYSCA Coaching Certification
2008 ... what to hear from league if this certification is required this year ....
All coaching staff must be NYSCA certified. If you have not received NYSCA training it can now be done online. If you need to renew you certification it can also be done online. We must have a valid copy of your NYSCA certification prior to adding you to the team roster.

CFF Cheer Coaching Clinic
2008 Mid South Cheer Coaches Clinic
Saturday, July 19th 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Sunday, July 20th 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Village Conference Center, Clemmons, NC
Hotel Rooms are $78.00 plus tax. Negotiated rates are not available online. Please contact the hotel directly at 1-800-554-6416 to receive the Mid-South Pop Warner rate. Box lunches will be $10.00. (There will be a working lunch)
All Association Cheer & Dance Coordinators and Head Coaches are required to attend to receive certification, unless they were certified by attending last years Clinic. Clinic certifications are good for three years. However, attendance is highly recommended.
Assistant Coordinators and Assistant Coaches are welcome.

Cheer - Premier Athletics
2008 CFF Cheer Camp - August 9 in Clayton. Cost is $40. If you wish to attend this camp please get registrations forms and monies to SOUTH JOHNSTON POP WARNER by July 15. We must turn in registration to league on July 20.
