    Who is Pop Fly?
Who is Pop Fly? Only the coolest new Little League mascot! Pop Fly is a hawk who loves baseball as much as any good Little Leaguer. Have you seen him around our field? Keep an eye out and you may see him. After all, Pop Fly loves a good Little League game- especially in his favorite town, South River!

    Pop Fly's Story
Pop Fly grew up in a nest not far from the South River Little League field. From his tree he could see the field. Pop Fly loved to watch games every afternoon, and even practices captivated him. He was absolutely amazed by the game of baseball. Every day he would practice with a stick as a bat, a stone as a ball, and a mitt made of leaves. He became very good.
One day, Pop flew to the Little League field he knew so well and asked to practice with some of the players. Turned out, Pop Fly was the best Little Leaguer on the team! He hit only homers and pitched like lightning. Don't even ask about his fielding skills! The team practicing eagerly accepted him on their team. With Pop's help, his team won the championship four years in a row!
Four years in a row. Only four? Four because Pop Fly got too old for Little League, the thing he loved the most. He was depressed when he found out it was his last season. Pop Fly may have been a great player, but no major league team would accept a bird on their team. Pop Fly now continues his dream with frequent visits to our field, watching the new generation of ballplayers play like he did many years ago.
And that, my friends, is the story of Pop Fly.
Have you seen him around the Little League field? (Look in the Sky)
