The information below should be used as a guide during the tryout process and season. Please read the information and keep it as a reference.

Playing AAU basketball is a big family commitment, both financially and time consuming. Teams that we compete against are very talented and very serious. Please make sure you are ready to commit. If your child is trying to play 3 sports at once, this is probably not the club for you.

How many tryouts should we attend? Players should try to attend as many tryouts as possible. The more you attend, the more you will be noticed. Each player is required to attend at least 1-tryout date.

How do I know what team I am trying out for? There are several teams in the club and they are all different. Some teams just need a few players to round out there current roster, some new teams will be formed from the tryout process, players could be moved up or down an age division, etc? Please let the tryout process play out.

The more questions you seek to have answered during the tryout process, the more confused you may become. There will be several different coaches that attend the tryouts and there will be different players at each tryout.

How long does the season last? Seasons last 2-3 months and are offered 4-times per year-(Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer).

How does practice work? Teams practice 1-3 times per week. It all depends on the facility and coach?s schedule. Practice schedules will be released when the rosters are completed.

Example practice times: Monday-Friday practice times 4-5:30, 5:30-7:00 & 7:00-8:30pm, Saturday/Sunday practice time Noon-1:30, 1:30-3:00, 3:00-4:30, 4:30-6:00pm.

Games? Michigan Hoopers teams play in the AAU Sanctioned Detroit Leagues on Sundays. Games can be scheduled anytime from 9am to 6pm. Teams also may play in tournaments and they are usually on Saturday?s-(Tournaments are not included in your season fee)

Season Cost: A majority of the Hoopers teams will have a cost of $200 per player for the season. Some Elite or Select teams may vary in cost.

Uniform: Each player is required to purchase an Adidas uniform. Uniforms can be used for multiple seasons?Cost is $75
