Sean Murphy - Head Coach
Graduated from Vanden in 1997. Graduated from California State University at Sacramento with a B.A. in Social Science.   Member of the Vanden High 1995 State Championship Team. Has been a football coach at Vanden High School for 17 years and a teacher at Travis Education Center for 13 years.
 
Larry Hogue
Drafted NFL 82 Bengals 10th round, Player CFL 83 - 92 Calgary, Alberta, & Regina Saskatchewan, 1989 Grey Cup Champion Saskatchewan, Ottawa 1993 - 94 Defensive Back Coach, Solano College 1995 - 2001 Receiver / Defensive Coach, Fairfield High 2002 - 05, JV Defensive Coordinator 2002 - 03Varsity Defensive Coordinator, 2004 JV Head Coach 2005.
Goals for the upcoming season is above 500 in preseason games. SCAC League Champions/Playoffs. Every player gets better performance each and every game! Hard work pays off!!! I bring to this program: experince, knowlegde of the game, teaching top effects in all areas of the game. Student athletes go onto  the next level. Viking Tradition! Graduated Vanden High School 1978. Utah State University. Born Shelby North Carolina. Residing in Fairfield 1972 - present. Father of 6, ages 25,23,19,16, and 14. Hobbies include golfing, fishing, basketball, youth sports, and giving back to the community that supported me during my youth years.
 
 
 
 
 
Mike Berry
Born and raised in San Fransico I am married with kids. I have been coaching football for four years. I enjoy football and basketball, watching movies, reading, video games, and traveling.
 
Ed Winters
I was born in Crete, Greece, father was military.  Moved around much, of course comes with the territory.  Moved to California in 93, attended and Graduated from Vanden in 98.  Was apart of the 95 state championship team and Vanden football all 4 years.  I attended Solano Community College and Beurean Bible College.  I have worked with young people as a youth leader at my church, since I graduated high school.  Coached on the Wood JV staff last year until I got the call to come home from Coach Haynes.  There's just something about being here that makes you feel like your really part of something special and I feel that out of all the programs kids.  I bring a drive, a passion and thirst to a generation that needs it most.  I intend on continuing the winning tradition that I was apart of and will help bring forth out of our program. 
 
Tom Koss
Coach Koss is the Vikes' Strength & Conditioning and Quarterbacks coach.  He is a retired Air Force officer and pilot  and is an instructor at the prestigious Darin Slack Quarterback Academy.  He is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Performance Enhancement  and Corrective Exercise Specialist as well as a certified High School Strength & Conditioning, Speed & Agility, and Olympic Lifts instructor through the International Youth Conditioning Association.

Frank Brisendine
 
Entered US Air Force in 1991 after graduating high school. Over the past 22 years I have been stationed at Lackland Air Force Base TX, Scott Air Force Base IL and Travis Air Force Base CA.  I graduated fromSouthern Illinois University in 2005 and commissioned as an Air Force officer the same year.  Currently, I manage the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at David Grant Medical Center.  I have coached various levels of football to include: Pop Warner in Illinois, Vacaville Jr. Bulldogs (Midgets), Golden West flag football and proud to be a part of this years Vanden Junior Varsity staff.  I have two children Jadon and Brylon and have been married to my wife Jennifer for 20 years.  I look forward to enhancing the areas of strength and conditioning of the players and imparting my knowledge of various aspects of the game.
