As the President of ARA I am proud to be in our third year scholarship program. As a Board we felt it was time for us to give back to the young athletes who help make our organization as successful as it is today. Ninety percent of all students, who have played at the Freshmen, JV and Varsity Basketball at Methacton High School came through ARA. In baseball and softball fifty percent of Methacton’s players started at ARA, while the other fifty percent played at MBA, another great program. In selecting the recipients, male and female they must maintain a 3.0 average, have played in ARA baseball, softball or basketball continuing to play at the high school level as well as participating in community service. This year the two recipients each received a one thousand dollar scholarship on behalf of ARA. I would like to thank and congratulate the 2008 year recipients on their accomplishments and wish them continued success.
