(May 19, 2008) Former Austin basketball star Tom Chilton (left) attended the Austin Alumni Banquet Saturday night and posed for a picture with Austin Middle School principal Dave Deaton.  After graduating from Austin in 1956 Chilton played college basketball at East Tennessee State and led the nation in scoring in 1961.  That year he was a 1st-Team Converse College All-American and was the 30th player selected in the NBA draft.
